Hikaru Ono  born on August 30, 1992, is a renowned Japanese karateka. She clinched the prestigious gold medal in the women's individual kata event at the 2023 World Karate Championships hosted in Budapest, Hungary. Ono boasts an impressive track record, having secured the top position twice before in the same event at the Asian Karate Championships. Notably, she also earned a silver medal in the women's individual kata event at the 2021 World Karate Championships organized by the World Karate Federation in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, followed by another gold at the 2021 Asian Karate Championships in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Further adding to her accolades, Ono won the silver medal in the women's kata event at the 2022 World Games held in Birmingham, United States, where she was narrowly edged out by Sandra Sánchez.

In recognition of her exceptional performance, Ono was honored with the title of "Grand Winner" in women's kata for 2023 after clinching gold in the 2023 Karate 1-Premier League held in Dublin. Later in October 2023, she once again emerged victorious, seizing the gold medal in the women's individual kata event at the World Karate Championships held in Budapest, Hungary.
