Ali Sofuoglu (born June 3, 1995) is a Turkish karateka who specializes in kata. He represents Kagıthane Belediyesi S.K. In 2021, he clinched a bronze medal in the men's kata event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. Sofuoglu's career highlights include winning the gold medal in the men's individual kata event at the 2023 World Karate Championships held in Budapest, Hungary.

Sofuoglu's journey in karate began with notable achievements at a young age. He became the European champion at the cadet level in 2010 and 2011. Transitioning to the junior level, he secured runner-up positions consecutively from 2011 to 2013. His breakthrough came at the U21 level in 2015 when he clinched the World Championship title, adding to his European championship victories in 2014 and 2016.

In the senior category, Sofuoglu contributed to Turkey's bronze medal win at the 2012 European Championships. He continued to excel, finishing second at the 2017, 2018, and 2019 European Championships, and also claimed podium finishes in team events. He secured third place at the 2018 World Championships and repeated his second-place finish at the European Games in 2019.

Sofuoglu's success continued in 2021, where he secured third place at the World Championships and became European champion in individual and team events. At the Tokyo Olympics, he earned a bronze medal in the men's kata event.

In 2023, Sofuoglu won a silver medal in the men's individual kata event at the European Games in Poland before claiming the gold medal at the World Karate Championships in Budapest.
