Karate 1-Premier League Paris kicked off with a spectacular display of skill and determination, attracting competitors from around the world. Grand Winner Yorgelis Salazar, Japanese Kata representatives, and Olympians Abdalla Abdelaziz and Anita Serogina shone on the opening day.


Female kata: Japanese triumph

Saeko Azuma of Japan stole the spotlight in the Female Kata category, causing a major upset by defeating compatriot Mirisa Ohuchi in a closely contested semifinal. Azuma secured her win with scores of 42.10 to 43.00. Another Japanese karateka, Maho Ono, surprised by triumphing over Mo Sheung Grace Lau of Hong Kong, earning her a spot in the finals.

Male kumite -75kg: Bulut and Abdelaziz dominate

Enes Bulut of Turkiye triumphed over Kilian Cizo of France in the Male Kumite -75kg category, winning 3-1. Olympian Abdalla Abdelaziz of Egypt delivered a commanding performance, securing an 8-0 victory over Faruk Yurur Omer of Turkiye to advance to the finals.


Female kumite -61kg: Serogina and Golshadnezhad Advance

Olympian Anita Serogina of Ukraine upset World champion Li Gong of China with a 2-1 score in the Female Kumite -61kg division. Atousa Golshadnezhad of Iran surprised by defeating Oleksandra Sholokhova of Ukraine with a 3-0 victory, earning her first final spot.


Male kumite -60kg: Hashimoto and Samdan Secure final spots

Hiromu Hashimoto of Japan dominated Abdullah Shaaban of Kuwait with a 9-1 victory in the Male Kumite -60kg category. Eray Samdan of Turkey secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Rayyan Meziane of France, earning a spot in his ninth Karate 1-Premier League final.

Female kumite -50kg: Salazar and Salama Shine

Grand Winner Yorgelis Salazar of Venezuela secured her place in the Female Kumite -50kg finals by defeating Yuliia Palashevska of Ukraine with a 3-1 score. Reem Ahmed Salama of Egypt showcased dominance with a 12-4 victory over Olympian Moldir Zhangbyrbay of Kazakhstan.


Male Kumite -84kg: Mastrogiannis and Chobotar reach final

Konstantinos Mastrogiannis of Greece emerged victorious with a 2-0 win against Walid Deghali of Belgium in the Male Kumite -84kg division. Valerii Chobotar of Ukraine secured his finals spot by defeating Rikito Shimada of Japan with a close 4-2 victory.
